For viewers who aren’t already familiar with your content, what is your channel all about? Tell us a bit about yourself.
I’m Sydney and I make lifestyle content on YouTube. My videos follow no particular theme, as I mostly do ideas that come to my mind or content my viewers request. I play field hockey year round and I love what I do.
How did you get started on YouTube? What was your inspiration for starting a channel?
I got started on YouTube back when I was in middle school as I was constantly watching my favorite creators and possessed an interest in making videos. However, that channel was often the butt of jokes at school. I wasn’t use to the negative attention, and so, I deleted it. Then, a few years later, I realized that if I wanted to do something, no one should stop me from it. So, right before entering high school, I created my current channel and have found a passion for YouTube.
What has been the biggest change in your life since becoming a YouTuber?
I wouldn’t say that much has changed other than being able to partake in several opportunities. I have been able to attend events like Playlist Live, worked for a cyber bullying campaign, and more. It’s different to have a platform to speak out on, but it’s something that I truly love.
What’s your favourite video (that you created)? Why?
It’s hard to pick a favorite video of mine, as I try to always make content I’m proud of. I sincerely enjoy my travel diary videos because I can look back at happy memories of my life in cinematic form.
What do you want to say to the people watching your channel?
Hey people! Thanks for watching my channel. You’re all the best people ever and I’m so glad that somehow you’ve stumbled across my little channel. You mean more to me than words can say.
Is this your first time attending Playlist Live? If not what’s your favorite memory from last year?
This is my first time attending the event as a creator but I have attended both locations in the past as a regular attendee. My favorite memory was probably meeting Jenna Marbles. She’s a legend.
How excited are you for Playlist Live? What are you looking forward to the most?
I am thrilled to be attending Playlist Live! I am most excited to be speaking on a panel for the first time. I feel as if I will be able to connect with audience and hopefully give them tips to succeed on their own channels.
