This team is on a mission – to get you ROFLMAO with their gut-bustingly hilarious gaming antics! They’ve built a 670K+ strong army of followers on their main channel, and these guys are just getting started! We got a chance to catch up with them and talk shop on everything from starting their channel, growing the Te Hubs community, and of course, which character from a video game they’d be IRL. Check out our latest BBTV Creator Q&A and don’t forget to add your questions in the comments section below!
Hey Guys! For gamers out there not already familiar with your stuff, can you tell us a bit about what your channel’s all about? How did the team come together?
Our channel is all about creating funny content to make people laugh and smile. Everything we do, whether it’s live streaming or creating a tutorial video on how to find an easter egg, we want to make things funny. This has always been a theme in our channel ever since we started.
We originally created our channel to become MLG superstars. Our idea was to become Halo 3 pros and get lots of girls, money and fame…. once we realized none of those things actually existed we decided to to stick to what we were good at – making people laugh.
What is your all-time favorite video you’ve produced? What makes it stand out?
Honestly one of my all time favourite videos I have made isn’t even one of the most popular videos, in fact it’s probably one of the most hated videos on our channel. The video was Bear Grylls in Halo. I basically put on a dummy British accent and pretended to be Bear for 15 minutes. The entire thing was ad libbed and made no sense at all but I loved every moment of making it.
Can you tell us about TeHubs and how the idea came to be?
TeHubs is something I have wanted to create for some time now. It started with us always having trouble finding good content to play on, whether it was for Halo, GTA or more recently LEGO Worlds. We created the site to curate user created jobs, maps, game modes and more. We are still working on expanding the site and look forward to the launch of the Halo and LEGO hubs coming soon.
Any gamers in particular who inspire you guys?
In particular I am very inspired by the guys over at funhaus. I have always loved their content and outlook on the gaming community. Even before they were funhaus or even Inside Gaming for that matter I loved following their comedic content and personalities.
You guys obviously love your GTA and Minecraft, but what’s the one game (not series, but single game) that you absolutely could never live without?
That’s an easy one It has to be Halo 3! In my books Halo 3 is the best game ever created. It descended unto us from the gaming gods on September 25th, 2007 and my life has never been the same. It is also the game that got me into YouTube.
Any new game releases on the horizon you’re particularly excited about?
I am super excited for the release of Fallout 4. I can’t wait to play as well as stream that game. I have always been a huge Fallout fan and after seeing what’s in store with this game I think I’ll be locked in my room for a few months.
If you could be one character from a game in real-life for one day, who would you be and what would you do?
I would probably be Michael from GTA 5 and go around doing crazy stuff. Drive fast cars, fly planes, jump off buildings, oh and blow up lots of things..that’s unless I could actually be hurt. I don’t think I’d fare too well getting shot at, so in that case it would be Minecraft. I would just like to grow a farm and raise my sheep.
Any shout outs for your community?
Shout out to Hike The Gamer! He’s like the father I never had :’)…well I do have a dad but not a crazy Armenian fellow I stream GTA 5 with. Also Typical Gamer since he has nice shoes that I want to steal. Oh and why not OpticJ one of the nicest guys I know. One big shoutout for the whole Stream Team!
For aspiring gamers on YouTube, what’s your best advice for success? Anything that stands out that they should avoid?
Alot of what could be said about success on YouTube has probably already been said and while I don’t have the absolute best answer that will change your channel over night I do have a few things to say. The first of which is consistency. I’m not talking about just making a schedule and uploading twice a week, I’m talking about staying consistent with the content and the effort you put into it. Don’t give up when things get hard in fact just go harder when they do. At the end of the day when you look at your subs and views and see the results you always want to know that you did everything possible to achieve those results. If there was a thumbnail that could have been better or a video that should have been re-done or even a social media post you didn’t make, then go back and do it again. YouTube can sometimes look like it’s hit and miss but hard work really does pay off especially in the world, especially in this world.
