Collab Tip

There’s no ‘I’ in team right? Two heads are always better than one?

So what’s this got to do with YouTube? Well as a creator, you’re probably very protective of your channel and the brand you’ve created through it. It’s personal and it’s yours, but have you ever thought about bringing another mind into the mix? Well, all these questions lead to this week’s BBTV Tip – look at the collab opportunities YouTube offers and reach out and share ideas with other creators.

Taking the time to find collab opportunities can yield huge returns:

  • Reach new audiences by tapping into a peer’s subscriber base
  • Expose your audience to other channels they’ll love and they’ll see even more value in what you have to say
  • Form lasting mutually beneficial relationships with talented creators

Overall collaborating with other creators can be critical to your community and success!

What’s My Strategy here?

Collaboration can mean working with another YouTuber or a group of YouTubers on a single video or a series. This could mean creating a new video with their input and speaking about them in your content or featuring them as a guest in an upload if the location allows.

Really have a big picture mindset. Identify similar or relevant channels to your own and look at fostering relationships here. And think about where your channel is on its own. If you’re just starting out and haven’t defined your channel position or generated an audience, it might be best to wait a little and do some more of the heavy lifting on your own. Really show your passion and dedication towards your channel and make this apparent to other creators.

Remember, if you’re looking to find collab opportunities, VISO Catalyst has got your back! The Collaboration Tool built right into the Big Picture Interface pinpoints your top matches based off your interests, the type of content you produce, the size of your channel and much more. This means there’s a lot of thought behind each match you see, and it also means you might just find that like-minded collaborator you’ve been seeking out! So check it out now!
