Well here we are once again at the end of another year, and what an incredible year it’s been!
2015 was a year of major milestones in online video: YouTube turned the big 1-0, there was the much-anticipated launch of YouTube Gaming, and YouTube Kids, and the long-awaited subscription service YouTube Red was finally unveiled this past fall.
It was also the year the rise of mobile became a reality (now owning over 50% of views), live-streaming hit the mainstream, and Facebook became a major video player.
Closer to home, 2015 was full of milestones for BBTV and our #BBTVfam of creators!
We launched Opposition, Windfall (in partnership with BMG), Outspeak (in partnership with The Huffington Post), and The HooplaKidz Network, to drive success for creators across all genres of the online video landscape. We partnered with Epoxy and Spreadshirt to help you build your following across social media and diversify your revenue with branded merch. Then you helped us become the second largest multi-platform network worldwide!
So what’s next? Well in online video, technology and content improvements are making virtual reality more accessible to consumers, so you can be sure to expect it to make a big splash in 2016! For BBTV, we plan on continuing to bring in partnered platforms to build even more benefits for creators, and deliver innovations in technology to help you take your success even further.
